Tha Last Scale

I had planned to share this piece earlier in the year to celebrate the Year of the Dragon, but somehow, it ended up in an endless loop of "work in progress." I wasn't feeling confident about the progress and, instead of finishing it, I got caught up in exploring and studying the character further.

But hey, better late than never! I’m finally ready to share it with you all. I hope you enjoy this piece, and thank you, 2024, for the new opportunities and inspiration ahead!

this is the short story about the character

"Teal was born into a world where dragons were mere myths, long forgotten by time. Raised in the modern era, she lived a life of quiet confusion, feeling different but unable to explain why. Strange powers stirred within her—heat rising in her chest, an inexplicable hum in her veins—but she kept them hidden, afraid of being discovered. It wasn’t until she turned sixteen that Teal stumbled upon a mysterious shop and met an elderly woman who revealed the truth: Teal was the last dragon child, born a thousand years after the dragons disappeared, with ancient powers that were her birthright. Though scared, Teal embraced her true self, realizing she was destined to restore the dragons' power. With newfound purpose, she stepped into her future, ready to awaken the strength within her."
